At twenty-one, I had no roadmap for managing my health and life as a whole. Over the decades that followed I journalled, worked with different practitioners and tried different approaches, but repeatedly ran into the same problem: the complete story was difficult to see.
Information was scattered across records, appointments, notebooks and memory. Different people saw different parts of the picture, while the changes that mattered in everyday life could be difficult to recognise or explain. Life continued between appointments, whether or not there was a useful way of recording it.
I wanted something that kept the person at the centre: a way to bring the story together, decide what progress meant personally and involve the right people with the context they needed. That need became Health Journal.

Your Health Record
The intention is to bring the chronology together: conditions, symptoms, medications, supplements, treatments, appointments, documents, life events and personal observations. A coherent record gives you somewhere to return to when you need to understand what happened and when, rather than reconstructing it from memory each time.

Your Health Dashboard
I wanted a way to establish baselines and make meaningful change visible over time. That doesn’t mean turning every human experience into a number; it means choosing useful measures so that the things which matter to you are easier to see and discuss.

Your Health Team
Health Journal enables you to keep your health story in one place and choose to share that information with the specialists you work with. Not everybody needs to see everything, and you remain at the centre of your story rather than becoming a collection of separate appointments.
Your Health Story in one place
My framework asks people to understand, simplify, act and learn. Health Journal is designed to support you in that process through a coherent record, useful measures and better-informed support. The tools serve the approach; they don’t make decisions for you.
